Study MBBS in Nepal
Nepal is the most preferred study destination for Indian medical aspirants. With NMC-approved colleges, identical curriculum, English-medium instructions, and no visa or passport requirement, it offers a home-like environment.
Why Study MBBS in Nepal?
For Indian students, Nepal represents the easiest and most comfortable country to pursue an MBBS degree abroad. The medical education system in Nepal is highly inspired by the Indian education system, making the curriculum, textbooks, and teaching methodology almost identical to those in India. Because of this high similarity, Nepalese medical graduates consistently achieve excellent passing rates in the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) / NExT exam.
All top medical colleges in Nepal are recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), World Health Organization (WHO), and other global medical bodies. The course duration is 5.5 years (including 1 year of compulsory clinical internship), matching the Indian duration. Furthermore, the clinical pattern, diseases encountered in hospitals, and treatment styles are very similar to India, which gives students invaluable practical experience when returning to practice in India.
Living and food habits in Nepal are virtually the same as in India, and the majority of the population speaks and understands Hindi and English. Indian currency is widely accepted, and Nepalese people share a friendly, warm relationship with Indian citizens. Additionally, Nepalese universities offer modern hostels, highly qualified faculties (many of whom are retired professors from reputed Indian medical colleges), and fully equipped laboratories.
No visa or passport is required for Indian nationals to enter or study in Nepal, making the documentation process completely hassle-free. Direct flights and excellent road connectivity connect key cities in India to Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Biratnagar, ensuring that students can easily visit home during academic holidays.
